Early Stars

Program Description

The Early Star Program is designed to instill the love of jumping through technique, musical exercises, teamwork and play. It is designed to provide our youngest students with a strong foundation that will support their training as they grow. Physically, students learn exercises that develop body and spatial awareness, coordination, balance, and muscle strength. This program is for youth ages 5 to 8. Discipline is encouraged as even our youngest students are expected to follow the rules of the gym. Community is encouraged as students learn to work together in the gym, to exhibit respect for themselves, fellow jumpers, and coaches, and to have fun!  All Early Star students will participate in the annual Spring Performance.  Early Stars are required to take the Introduction to Jump Rope Basics.

No previous jump rope experience is required to participate in any of the non-competitive classes. Class is held in Greenbelt, MD and is available for ages five to 8 years old.  Class runs for 2 hours.
