Program Description

TThis is our bridge program.  It is designed to transition jumpers into our Performance and or Competitive Program. Our focus is the learning process and building strong technique so we focus primarily on the fundamentals.


Our instructional program runs for the entire year. Jumpers will learn Single Rope Skills, Partner Challenges, Speed and Power Moves, Choreographed Group Routines, Double Dutch Turning & Jumping, Stretching, Toning, Calisthenics and Tumbling.  The participant will jump rope in a challenging and goal-oriented environment while learning about teamwork and physical fitness.  


Classes are held in Greenbelt, MD and are available for ages five years and up. Classes run for 2.5 hours.  Participation in our classes develops coordination and motor skills, balance, flexibility, strength, concentration, poise, posture, discipline, while learning about jumping rope w​ith the correct technique, proper equipment and progressive programs designed to gain athletic advantages in speed, quickness, agility, muscular endurance, aid in weight loss, and improve cardiovascular health!

Creative Movement & Perfecting Stylized Routines

Monday | 6:00 pm

Instructor:  Coach Kim 

Duration:  2.5 hours

This class focuses on the development of technique & terminology for Double Dutch freestyle and Chinese Wheel.  Jumpers focus on turning as it is the key to performing Double Dutch successfully, along with skills to create and perform routines.  The main focus of this class is developing teamwork skills while preparing for the Performance and/or Competitive Program by receiving high quality, level-appropriate instruction that addresses performing, creating and executing Double Dutch skills and routines.


This class focuses on the development of technique & terminology for Single Rope freestyle.  Jumpers focus on skills to create and perform routines choreographed to music. These can be performed solo, with a partner or in groups.  Skills and routines are learned and performed with an added focus on developing style preparing for the Performance and/or Competitive Program by receiving high quality, level-appropriate instruction that addresses performing, creating and executing Single Rope skills and routines.

Jump Rope Skill Development

Saturday | 12:00 pm - 2:30 pm

Instructor:  Coach Kim 

Duration:  2.5 hours

Jump Rope Skill Development will continue instruction in Single Rope, Long Rope, Chinese Wheel and Double Dutch.  Class focuses on the development of skills, terminology and concepts of jumping including coordination, spatial awareness, turning and a specific focus on single rope arm work, leg work and power skills, along with enhancing double dutch turning and jumping.  Jumpers will continue to work on coordination, single time jumps, short combinations, rope handling and introductory movement vocabulary. The goal of this class is to expand on the fundamentals of jumping -- focusing on improving jumping technique, proper body alignment, terminology and musicality.   This training begins to address performing, creating and executing jump rope skills and routines.
