Adult Class Descriptions

Evolve classes are designed for adults over 14 to be active and acquire all of the health benefits of rope jumping in a fast-paced environment. Our program is designed to be a complete workout in a third of the time.  10 minutes of jumping = 30 mins of jogging.  


Classes are held in Greenbelt, MD and run for 120 minutes. Participation in our classes develop coordination and motor skills, balance, flexibility, strength, endurance, concentration, poise, posture, discipline, while having fun to music.

Any age can learn to love jump rope.  We are excited to motivate and enhance the ability of each individual jumper so that they can reach their personal fitness goals with jump rope.


Saturday | 8:00 am

Instructor:  Coach Kim  

Duration: 2 hour

The core of this class consists of a wide variety of high-intensity bodyweight movements including a comprehensive warm-up along with plyometric training, light weightlifting, jogging, jumping, lunging, stretching and much much more.  The program is for all levels and is adjustable for any teen/adult with no athletic/sports background.  Also great as a cross training / supplemental training for any High School athlete looking to increase their stamina, speed and strength.

Jog and Jump

Sunday | 4:00 pm

Duration: 2 hour

This class focuses on beginning  joggers learning to run half marathons aiming to build their weekly mileage leading up to race day - learning to run at a relaxed pace.

Introduction to Jump Rope

Saturday | 10:00 am

Instructor:  Coach Maya 

Duration: 2 hour

Introduction to Jump Rope will introduce the beginning development of basic skills and concepts of jumping including coordination, spatial awareness, turning and a specific focus on single rope footwork and crossing skills; along with double dutch turning and entering and exiting. Jumpers will explore coordination, single time jumps, short combinations, rope handling and introductory movement vocabulary. The goal of this class is to impart the fundamentals of jumping.  Class focuses on basic jumping technique, proper body alignment, terminology and musicality.  Students will be introduced to single rope, long rope and double dutch.  This is a slower-paced class that breaks down basic to intermediate steps in order to help jumpers build a solid foundation of technique.  Great for those with limited to no experience with jumping rope or those who want to improve their technique at a basic level.

Introduction to Competitive Jump Rope

Saturday | 12:00 noon

Instructor:  Coach Brandon  

Duration:  2 hour

In Introduction to Competitive Jump Rope, jumpers will see an increase in difficulty.  This class focuses on the development of competitive technique & terminology.  Jumpers begin to focus on repetition and retention and will further develop skills including musicality with an added focus on increasing speed, and developing style.  This training becomes much more serious - preparing for the Competitive Program by receiving high quality, level-appropriate instruction that addresses performing, creating and executing jump rope skills and routines.

** Required for New Jumpers to the Team before enrolling in Competitive Training
